meet stacey dillon

Stacey has been crafty, creative and throwing parties for as long as she can remember.

When she was little her mom owned a ceramics business. She sold her wares at craft fairs and taught classes in a studio in their house. She can remember playing under the table at the fairs and when she was older making items of her own to sell. At that same time Stacey and her sister were always playing tea party with their dolls, everything had to be set just right and the food perfect. And at age 8 she was cooking dinner several nights a week – always having a hard time sticking to the recipe and wanting to mix it up a bit. So where did Stacey’s adventures take her after tea parties and craft fairs?

First to California State University, Chico – where she perfected her abilities to work and play hard as well studying communications and getting a BA in Information and Communications Studies, basically she learned to talk! After college she moved to Seattle and spent some time as a nanny. While living with the family she learned to love setting a table and plating culinary concoctions. The dad of the family she worked for introduced her to the ramekin and serving dishes and now she has more tablewares than Crate & Barrel!

During her time in Seattle she manage a bed & breakfast near Alki Beach and wrote a cookbook with the owner of Villa Heidelberg, then she started her own business, Simply Stacey - which helped families with whatever they needed help with, mostly child care, home organization, kid’s craft projects and decorating their homes for the holidays. But sunny California began to call her name!

In 1997, back to San Francisco she worked for several years as a high tech project manager and website producer, riding the dot com boom. But she strived to be the designer more than the coordinator and was determined be creative everyday, instead of crunching numbers and managing schedules.

In 2002, a simple Valentine’s card project launched Stacey & Company. Then over the next two years she made handmade notecards – which she sold at local street fairs, designed invitations for friend’s weddings and started doing a little catering and party planning – anything she could find to give her a chance to be creative while bringing home a paycheck. After having her first baby, she decided to run Stacey & Company as a full-fledged event planning and design business.

A friend of a friend led to another gig and before she knew it, she was running a busy studio full time (or at least part time mom / part time small business owner). She designed her first 6 figure luxury wedding in 2006 and hasn’t looked back.

Today Stacey & Company specializes in events & celebrations of all kinds!

Stacey (and the & Company team) have the ability to handle everything from custom stationery and invitations, design & overseeing catering, florals and decor rentals, and much more! HOLLY YIP THOMAS

Holly joined our team in 2014, but has been a friend of the business for over 10 years. Holly is a seasoned marketing manager and events director, with over 12 year working in TV, media and high tech. From the NBC affiliate in Seattle, to Expedia and the San Jose Sharks - she know how to handle a multitasking and managing large scale and high profile events. After taking a few years off from the traditional 'job' route, she wanted to dip her toe back into the work world. One day at lunch Stacey said "come work with us!" And the rest is history! Holly is an event rock star and we're so lucky to have her as part of the & Company crew. She can handle everything from planning to execution for weddings, corporate events, company picnics, milestone birthday and showers for weddings or welcoming baby. You name it, Holly can handle it - all with a calm vibe and smile on her face.

“We LOVED having Holly help us put the final touches on our intimate ceremony at SF City Hall and dinner party at Wayfare Tavern. She helped us figure out all the stuff we HAD NO IDEA about and these plan made for a AMAZING destination wedding. We could just relax and enjoy tying the knot in beautiful San Francisco” – Jennifer & Stephen | October 2017

“We would have been LOST without Holly on the day of our wedding. We'd planned all of these elements and then when it came to the day-of, I was so overwhelmed with becoming a MRS, I couldn't remember one plan. She took the rains and nailed it! SOOOO happy we took a friend's advice and called Stacey & Company to help us.” – Sarah & Erik | August 2015

“Calm and collected were two things I was not on our big day. But Holly was there to calm me down, organized all of the vendors and allowed us to just enjoy the day - and being with our friends and family. So blessed and forever thankful for her help!!” – Jessica & Amir | April 2016

JOANNA MINA

JoAnna has been an official member of the team since 2008, but we’ve been working together since 2001. With her years of experience in marketing and business development it was a natural transition to add her to the team once she became a stay at home mom. JoAnna has been working events since her college days as an Orientation Director at Cal State Northridge, planning and implementing an entire overnight program for incoming freshmen.

Her career has always revolved around events in her various occupations such as planning holiday parties, corporate retreats, company picnics and receptions for visiting dignitaries, to name a few. As we like to say, she was born to do events and we’re so happy to have her! Currently JoAnna is leading the expansion of our Seattle, Washington team, but comes back for visits and coordination for special client requests! Her past clients speak very highly of her and when referred, folks want to work with HER! Always a good sign!

“My husband and I were blessed to be able to work with JoAnna!  From start to finish she has been thorough, very detailed oriented, and absolutely a dream!  She was an amazing wedding coordinator.” – Ann & Vik | October 2011

“I cannot thank you enough for coordinating the PERFECT night for us! When I walked in, the venue was perfect and I just got to sit back and enjoy the night. It was such a pleasure working with JoAnna.” – Veronica & Esteban | August 2013

“Thanks again for everything. You are a rockstar. It was a magical night!” – CJ & David | September 2015
