Christine called from Houston, "Help! I can't sleep at night because i don't know how to make my plans reality!" She and Grant had planned to come to California to elope and invited a few friends. When word got out the few grew to 40. Luckily we we're able to score Cavallo Point just 8 weeks before the wedding as well as put together a colorful, cozy and eco-friendly affair.

After just one face to face meeting and tasting at Cavallo Point, we were able to design a day with creative touches that were important to both the bride and groom.

The day included a small ceremony in the Mission Blue Chapel. The musicians we're from Christine's family. We we're eco-conscience and just the same flowers from the chapel on the dining tables for dinner. Both the programs and menus were printed on "seeded" paper that would grow wildflowers when planted in the garden. The ceremony was LIVE streamed so that family and friends that did not make the trip could still witness the union.

After the ceremony the couple exited the chapel amidst custom handmade ribbon wands with jingle bells. Guests we're provided with small burlap bags of soil and took a short walk to the site of a small Cypress tree. Together with the newlyweds they "planted" a tree next to the chapel. The couple plans to come back for anniversaries and to visit their tree.

Signs crafted of re-claimed wood led guests to The Verbena Ballroom. They enjoyed a glass of champagne on the veranda with a view of the Golden Gate Bridge. A chalkboard seating chart showed the way to dinner once they had signed the Golden Gate Bridge coffee table photo book turned guest book. Each place was marked with a color coded name flag + succulent in a tin cup - which told the served the guests meal choice.

The guests enjoyed a meal prepared from local and sustainable ingredients all seated at one long table - the bride and groom and their honor attendant facing the guests at the end of the room near the fire place. After dinner we boxed up each of the succulents in a compostable take out box that included instructions on how to plant in in your garden at home.

Although planned on a tight schedule we took the time the design and develop unique touches that the bride and groom, as well as guests, will remember for a lifetime!
